Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the murder of three people and the wounding of two others in the Meggie Top community of Salt Spring in St. James, yesterday (Tue, February 02).
Dead are:
• Sandrina Samuels, 18-year-old bartender of Comma Pen, St. Elizabeth.
• 40-year-old Alphonso Foster, otherwise called ‘Gigsy’ or ‘Junior’, of Meggie Top in the parish, and
• 36-year-old Andre Barrett of Church Lane, also in the parish.
Reports are that about 11:30 p.m., all five persons were at a bar when, it is alleged, armed men walked up and opened fire hitting them. The police were alerted and on their arrival, the five persons were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where three were pronounced dead and two admitted in serious condition.Investigations continue.
