Police have released the names of the six people charged following a raid in Drax Hall, St Ann Monday, September 5
The North Coast Times first reported the early Monday morning police operation in its issue now on the streets.
In a release today (Tuesday), police said six persons were arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, Possession of Ganja and Dealing in Ganja. They are:
- Andre Muir of Drax Hall Manor in St. Ann
- Davyon Henry of Drax Hall, St. Ann
- Damian Ramcharan of Spring Valley, St. Mary
- Andre Bogle of Chapelton district in Clarendon
- Delawhi Baxter of Pineapple district in St. Ann, and
- Tineka Robinson of Great Pond district in St. Ann.
They will be scheduled for court appearance following a committal proceeding.
The police said they seized two illegal firearms and over one hundred rounds of ammunition and arrested six persons including a female during an operation in Drax Hall Manor, Monday.
Reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police are that between the hours of 4:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., a team conducted an operation during which a premises was searched. During the search one Taurus pistol, one Glock pistol along with one hundred and thirty 9 mm cartridges and four pounds of ganja were found.
The Times reported in its printed issue this week that the police operations followed a recent break in at a grate community in Drax hall and the hold up at gunpoint of Chinese nationals who operate businesses in St Ann. Over one million dollars was stolen.
