WOMAN REPORTED ABDUCTED, RAPED AFTER CLUB VISIT

The St Ann police have in custody a man said to be involved in the abduction and sexual abuse of a woman in Ocho Rios, early Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2024
They are seeking another man also involved in the sexual abuse of the woman that reportedly took place at Marvins Park, just outside Ocho Rios.
Reports are that a woman left Margaritaville at Island Village Ocho Rios just after midnight Tuesday. She was standing outside the plaza when a motor car drove up with two men aboard.
The man in the front passenger seat came out of the car, brandished a knife and grabbed the complainant by the neck and forced her into the back of the car, and sat beside her.
The car then drove off in the direction of the Ocho Rios Bypass. The woman was taken to Marvin’s Park, where the men took turns sexually assaulting her.
A police car came on the scene while the men were in the car with the woman and ordered the occupants out.
The woman came out of the vehicle and told the police officers that she was abducted and raped. The police say they were in the process of accosting the men when one of the men jumped back into the vehicle. Loud explosions sounding like gunshots were heard coming from the direction of the vehicle and the police took evasive action and returned gunfire in the direction of the vehicle. The car sped away with one of the men.
The other man was held and taken into custody. He is expected to be charged with abduction, rape, grievous sexual assault and shooting with intent.
The woman was taken to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital where she was medically examined and referred to CISOCA.

Investigations are being carried out by the Ocho Rios CIB and the St. Ann CISOCA
