SASHANA GORDON AND BIJORN GORDON GRADUATE AS DOCTOR AND ENGINEER RESPECTIVELY
The relatives and friend of Inspector Cecil Gordon sub-officer in charge of Moneague Police Station, St. Ann congratulate him on the graduation of his daughter Sashana and son Bijorn on Saturday and Sunday May 10 and 11, 2014 respectively in Indianapolis USA. Sashana, a past student of the Hillside Primary, Highgate Primary and Mary Mount Migh graduated as a medical doctor ( Md ) from Indiana University School of Medicine and Bijorn past student of Titchfield High School, graduated as a mechanical engineer from Purdue University School of Engineering and Technology. A very elated Inspector Gordon who attended the graduation, along with his daughter from Jamaica, was joined by thirty eight other family members from across the United States who shared in this remarkable occasion. In attendance was also Camille Tucker attorney-at-law in New York, best friend of Sashana and past student of the Mary Mount High School. Inspector Gordon expressed gratitude to: his brother and sister John & Edith ; cousin Donnett “ Doctor” Spencer and his wife in the United States; the Adventist family in Indianapolis and other relatives and friends; the Marymount High School, Titchfield High School family and neighbours Ivy “ Sis” Wedderburn and Jennifer “ Yaya” Brown of Islington, St. Mary . They played a very integral role. Inspector Gordon said: “I sacrificed myself and career to give my children the education I did not receive as my parents could not afford it.” He thanked God and everyone who participated and others who sent congratulatory messages.
