Lilly of the Valley Spiritual Healing Temple, Harrison Town, Ocho Rios hosted its fifth annual health care retreat on the grounds of the church on Tuesday, August 9.The day’s event was successful as members of the community and environs came out in their numbers to access free health care services which included blood pressure checks, HIV testing, cholesterol, general check up from the medical practitioners   and distribution of their prescribed medication. In an interview with The Times, Deacon Daniel Mitchell explained that the members of the Healing Temple get gratification when they give back to the community although some persons who benefit are not affiliated with the church. The church expressed gratitude to the medical team who made their services available for the outreach programme: Dr Duvaine Mighty, Dr Sonali Thukurani of complete Care Medical Centre, Ocho Rios; spiritual doctor Archbishop Delroy Bingham, nurse Belinda Bailey, and missionary Nurse Dwhaney from Orlando, Florida. Books, food items and clothing were also given to persons who attended.
