The case against a man charged for the beheading of another in Brown’s Town, St Ann seems set to go ahead in the St. Ann Circuit Court now sitting.
The case involves the murder of 55-year-old Burnett Thomas, whose headless body was discovered in his apartment at Lincoln Road, Brown’s Town, St. Ann on March 25, 2012. Howard Ricketts, security guard was charged for the murder.
Last week, it seemed the murder case brought against Howard Ricketts, was crippled as two police officers in the case had left the force and a witness had died.
However, yesterday (Tue. Feb 2) in the St Ann Circuit Court, the prosecutor said they had found a way to allow the trial to proceed. Ricketts who has been in lock up for over three years was remanded. He is to return to court later this month.
