Called Outside And Killed
A 31-year-old businessman was shot and killed in Ocho Rios near his business place, Thursday night, July 27
Dead is Robert James, of Old Buckfield, Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that at about 9:35 p.m., James was at his business place when he was pounced upon by an armed man, who shot him in the head.
According to reports reaching the North Coast Times, James who operated a bar, received a call and was walking toward the Old Buckfield Road adjacent to the Ocho Rios Bypass when a man drove up on a motorcycle and pointed a gun at him. He was shot in the leg and in the head.
James was taken to hospital by citizens, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The gunman escaped on a motorcycle in the area. Police have not established a motive. Investigations continue.
