Several students narrowly escaped serious injuries when the bus in which they were travelling this morning (Thursday) overturned near Hope Bay in Portland.
According to an eyewitness shortly after 7 o’clock a Toyota Hiace mini bus was traveling east towards Port Antonio when during heavy rainfall the driver lost control of the bus which hit the road embankment and overturned. The passengers including school children climbed through the bus windows. Some sustained minor bruises. One man who is said to have been trapped in the bus was removed and rushed to hospital.
