Cops looking for male with whom she was last seen
Three full months after a 16-year-old Brown’s Town High School girl was found dead at Addison Park, Brown’s Town St Ann, on New Year’s Eve, police are still seeking a male with whom she was reportedly last seen. Police say they have people looking out for a man they have not named and say the man was last seen with with16-year-old, Tashiek Nugent, on the evening when she was found dead. It appears she was smothered or held down with something over her face until she died. Information to the North Coast Times is that the girl was not with relatives, as was first being reported, for the week when she was away from her parents’ home, before she was found dead.
THREE GIRLS
It has now been confirmed that after Tashiek left her home, in Brown’s town for Grand Market, under instructions from her mother to return home by 8 that same Christmas Eve evening, she was staying with three girls who were friends. One of the girls was said to be in trouble with the law. It is further reported that after Tashiek had been at the home of one of the girls for nearly a week, an adult at the home asked why she had not gone back home. Sources tell the North Coast Times that it is at that time that the girl called her brother, elsewhere in St Ann, to tell him she was coming to stay with him. Reports are that she was seen in the Brown’s Town bus park that Tuesday evening, Christmas Eve with a man and they are believed to have left together, on foot. Tashiek did not reach her brother’s home and her body was found later that night. Police have not said if she was sexually assaulted. This newspaper has been asking for updates at least every fortnight since this girl was found dead on New Year’s Eve last year. Police have insisted the file is active and they are trying to find a young man with whom she was last seen.
