PORT MARIA, St Mary, Jan. 6, 2025
St Mary reported its first murder for 2025 on Sunday, January 5, when the body of an unidentified female was found along the Devon Pen main road in the parish.
The body which was wrapped in a blue tarpaulin was discovered by residents.

Police reports are that the woman was dressed in a white T-shirt, blue underwear and black socks. The woman is believed to be in her late 20s and is of dark complexion with tattoos on her chest, thighs and right shoulders.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that the woman’s body showed signs of strangulation and had multiple abrasions. She is believed to have been in an advanced state of pregnancy.
The St Mary police are investigating.
