Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts, Runaway Bay celebrated Earth Day with a Tree Planting Activity conducted at three schools in St. Ann.
The team comprised of Health & Safety, Landscaping and Social Relations Departments in addition to four (4) of the resort’s visitors.
Health & safety manager, Tanique Greaves described the exercise as “an appropriate means of merging environment, community and our guests for a very worthwhile project.” The beneficiary schools were Hooleberry Primary, Priory Primary & Infant and Chalky Hill Primary & Infant.
On hand to participate were the respective school principals, teachers and students alike. Kenroy Brooks of Chalky Hill Primary and Infant noted that the gesture was “well received and appreciated.”
Earth Day was observed on Friday April 22, 2016 and the activity carried out as part of the hotel’s commitment to the development of the St. Ann community.
