SERVED JAMAICA’S TOURISM FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS
Hotelier Allan Gotting has died.
Gotting who spent more than 50 years in the tourism industry in Jamaica died Friday evening, August 9, in Florida, USA, where he has lived since retirement from the industry.
He served as a hotel manager and senior executive in several of Jamaica’s hotels including Bay Rock, Montego Bay; Goblin Hill in Portland and Ambiance, Runaway Bay. In addition, he was the Director Of Cruise Shipping for many years.
Mr Gotting was heavily involved in the marketing of Jamaica, especially in the 1980s and 90s. He travelled through Europe and the United States to promote the land he loved, Jamaica, and helped secure several contracts from tour operators and
