2 KIWANIS PRESIDENTS RETURNED AT JOINT INSTALLATION

SECOND TERM AT OCHO RIOS AND GRADEN PARISH CLUBS

The Presidents of two St Ann-based Kiwanis clubs were returned to office at a joint installation of the Kiwanis Club of the Garden Parish and the Kiwanis Club of Ocho Rios, on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Attorney-at-law Ann-Marie Bishop returns to the helm of the Kiwanis Club of the Garden Parish (KCGP) for a second round, under the theme WAW, “We are Winners” for the Kiwanis Year 2023 -2024.

The Kiwanis Club of the Garden Parish is part of the Clubs of Division 24 under the Leadership of Lieutenant Governor (LG) Josette  Williams.  The Kiwanis Club of the Garden Parish is an all-female club and is 33 years old.

Other officers in the Garden Parish club are vice president and president-elect, Almarie Chintersingh and treasurer Georgia Dodd.

Luke Thomas Shorter was installed to lead the Kiwanis Club of Ocho Rios for another term. Those serving with him are: Oswald Taylor, treasurer; Judging Johnson, secretary; directors — Junior Haughton, Frank Riley. Julian Fowler, Ricardo Moncreiffe, and Herbert Stephenson.

Mr Shorter made a presentation on the need for a National Day of Forgiveness.

Distinguished Lieutenant Governor of Excellence (DLGE) Donna Coombs of the Kiwanis Club of Moneaque was among the guests.

The joint installation took place at the Almond Tree Restaurant and Hotel, Ocho Rios.
