PERFECT SCORE FOR GROVE AS TITCHFIELD FAIL
Happy Grove ended their run with a win to place them on top as runaway leaders of Zone ‘N’ in the daCosta Cup.
They will be joined by Port Antonio as the teams advancing to the Inter-Zine round. Port Antonio secured their place with a 2-0 victory over Titchfield in the Port Antonio derby played at Carder Park, in the Portland capital, Friday afternoon, October 13. They ended with 10 points.
Happy Grove got the perfect 18 points from their six matches, the final outing being a 3-2 victory over Fair Prospect.
Happy Grove beat Fair Prospect 3-2, after a tough fight. The Hector’s River team won it at the death, with a brace from Sean Williams in the seventh and 90th minutes. Shevon Miller scored in the 37th minute. Fair Prospect’s goals came from Michael Powell and Ryeem Davidson in the 48th and 65th minutes.
