DOCTOR INVOLVED IN BRAWL AT ST ANN’S BAY HOSPITAL

In Viral Video Former Chairman’s Son, Relative Beaten

The North East Regional Health Authority (NEHRA) has commenced investigation into a brawl at St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, St Ann, involving a female doctor, security guards, and the family of a former chairman of the Hospital Board. Videos of the incident have gone viral

Son of former Board Chairman, Tyrone Robinson Jnr.  was badly beaten, leaving his face swollen and his upper body with several bruises.

Mr Robinson says he has received no proper response from the administration of the Hospital to include the CEO and chairman of the Board. He reported the incident to the St Ann’s Bay police.

Communications Officer of NEHRA, Aungenice White confirmed to the North Coast Times that there was an incident. However, she said she could give no details of what happened. She said the hospital had activated its complaints system and was investigating.

The altercation started Sunday afternoon sometime after Mr Robinson took the child of his spouse to the hospital with an emergency. There was an altercation between him and several security guards outside the A and E.

Reports are that harsh words were spoken.

A female doctor emerged from the hospital and pointed out that her car was being blocked. Tempers flared and the doctor and a female relative of Mr Robinson were involved in a physical alteration.

Mr Robinson and his relative were beaten and at least two guards reportedly received blows in the melee.
