FORMER PM HAS BEEN ILL FOR SOME TIME
Former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has been hospitalized.
Hospital Thursday night and was making progress on Good Friday morning, April 7.
Her specific condition is not known.
Mrs Simpson Miller, 77, Jamaica’s first and only female prime minister has been ailing for some time and has been out of the public eye for more than a year.
Meantime, Young Jamaica, the youth arm of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), said in a release Friday morning that was “saddened to hear news of the recent hospitalization of former People’s National Party (PNP) President and Jamaica’s seventh Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller.”
