Man Charged After Gun Found Under Pillow On His Bed

The St Ann police have now charged the man held Sunday for a gun and ammunition reportedly found at his house in Faith’s Pen in the parish.
He is thirty-four-year-old Alrick Francis of Perry Hill, St. Catherine and Faiths Pen, St Ann.
Francis has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition, following a police operation in the Faiths Pen community, in the parish on Sunday, March 19.
Reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police are that about 12:00 p.m., lawmen conducted an operation in the area when Francis’ house was searched. One 9mm pistol affixed with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds was found under the pillow on a bed he was lying on. The firearm and ammunition were secured and Francis was arrested and subsequently charged for the seizure.
His court date is being finalised.
