Police are reporting that fourteen-year-old Chevoneese Reid of St Mary has returned home after being reported missing Sunday.
Police reported Chevoneese missing Monday and asked for anyone knowing her whereabouts to contact the Highgate police.
When North Coast Times checked about mid-day Wednesday, March 8, on the status of the young woman, police at Highgate said they had heard that the girl had reported to the Castleton Police, elsewhere in the parish.
However, they could not confirm the report and the North Coast Times could therefore not take down the Ananda Alert report.
But later in the afternoon (Wednesday) the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) confirmed the report that Chevoneese Reid of Frazerwood district, Highgate, had returned home. “She is said to be in good health,” the report said.
Police do not routinely indicate on the return of the child, what happened or where the missing child had been.
This report will be taken down by Thursday after people have had a chance to understand there is no need for further worry.
