The son of Portland businessman Everton ‘Beechy Stout’ McDonald, Andre McDonald, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing his wife in Texas, USA.
‘Beechy’ McDonald, the father is facing two murder counts for killing his two wives, in Portland, Jamaica.
The forty-three-year-old Air Force Major was sentenced Monday for brutally killing his 29-year-old Jamaican wife Andreen McDonald. Prior to his conviction for manslaughter last Friday he had told the court in San Antonio how in March 2019 he killed his wife and then burnt and mutilated the body.
District Court Judge Frank Castro, before sentencing McDonald on Monday, February 6, observed that the Army Major did not appear to show any emotion or regret during the trial.
The Judge said: “You burned her body, beat it with a hammer, and desecrated her corpse. After that it almost seems like the emotion of a serial killer or something. You didn’t seem to care about the dead mother of your child. You just didn’t seem bothered by that.”
McDonald is to be credited with two years already served and will be eligible for parole after serving another eight years.
Court observers and people following the case closely were shocked that McDonald was not convicted for murder but for the lesser charge. He told the court that he killed his wife after an argument and she attacked him and called him nasty names, and told him what to go do with his mother. He told the court in detail how after he had kicked and killed his wife and burnt her body he used a claw hammer to beat up the corpse before scattering the parts in the woods.
