Portland businessman’s son convicted in US.

Andre McDonald — the son of Portland businessman Everton ‘Beechy Stout’ McDonald who is on a charge of murdering his two wives — is to be sentenced Monday in the US for the death of his wife.

Andre McDonald, 43, a U.S. Air Force Reserve major was convicted of manslaughter, rather than murder, in the death of his 29-year-old wife, Andreen Nicole McDonald, Friday in Bexar County, San Antonio.

The conviction came nearly four years after Andreen’s initial disappearance in February 2019.

People searched for her for weeks after that as her husband said she had gone missing.

Earlier last week McDonald confessed to killing Andreen and disposing of her body in 2019. He told the court how he killed his wife and later mutilated her remains and set them ablaze.

He said his wife had slapped him, spat on him and called him a ‘bxxx man.’ He said he was acting out of self-defense after she had hit him.

The district attorney said he is to seek the maximum sentence, which for manslaughter is 20 years.

Earlier in the trial, Andreen’s mother as well as a close friend testified he confessed to his wife’s murder to them over the phone.

Sentencing testimony will begin Monday morning, February 6.
