Three students from Port Antonio High School have been charged following confrontation among different groups on the school grounds in the Portland parish capital, Wednesday, February 1.
The students all boys, said to be between 16 and 18 years old were arrested after it was reported that they were seen with knives in at least two different incidents on the school compound. Reports are that at least two gangs were involved and issued threats against each other.
The boys were charged for possession of offensive weapons after knives and a machete were reportedly recovered.
They were given bail at the Port Antonio police station and are to face the family court in March.
