Police found a gun and ammunition in a cushion in an abandoned house in Faith’s Pen, St Ann, Wednesday.
According to the police, a team of officers conducting operations in Faith’s Pen, Moneague, St. Ann seized one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing four 9mm rounds of ammunition on Wednesday, December 21.
No arrest was made in connection with the find. Reports from the Moneague Police are that about 6:30 p.m., the team was conducting operations in search of illegal guns and wanted men.
An abandoned house was searched, during which, the firearm and ammunition were found inside a cushion.
Last month a good truck driver was shot dead near Faith’s Pen and his truck looted. Police sources say they believe the criminals involved in the shooting death were from the area. They did not say if the operations Wednesday was part of investigations into that murder.
