For the fourth year, people on the Coast will be able to enjoy a glittering start to the New Year with “Fireworks on the Bay” in Ocho Rios, St Ann. This family event will be free onless you want a choice VIP location.
The event will take place at the Ocho Rios Bay Beach on Saturday December 31, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Sunday, January
The St. Ann Development Company (SADCo), Ocho Rios Commercial Centre (ORCC) and Runaway Bay Water Company (RBWC) will collectively stage this popular, family-friendly event.
The event is being hosted as part of the Urban Development Corporation’s New Year’s Eve Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Kingston, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.
A release from SADCO says Fireworks on the Bay will feature a Vending Village, boasting authentic Jamaican cuisine and crafts at the Western Car Park of Ocean Village Shopping Centre, as well as a Kiddies’ Village in the neighboring Turtle River Park from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The stage show will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Ocho Rios Bay Beach. The entertainment lineup includes Ramon Johnson, Digicel Rising Stars third place winner, Admiral Bailey, Carey Sales, Chi Ching Ching as well as performances from Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) and Legendary Promotions Inc.
While this is a largely free event, guests have the option to view the show from a VIP/All-Inclusive area. The VIP package costs $8000 for adults and $4,000 for children (5-12 years old).
Tickets are available at the SADCo’s Main Office, Ocean Village Shopping Centre, Ocho Rios. The main sponsors of Fireworks on the Bay are Moon Palace, Jamaica Bauxite Institute, Irie FM, Jamaica Fire Brigade, North-East Regional Health Authority, JUTA, Hot Shots, Jamaica Waste Industries, St. Ann Municipal Corporation, Jamaica Music Society (JAMS), JACAP, Five Star Watersports, Jewel Paradise Cove, Dolphin Cove, Fontana, KFC, Sharkies Seafood Restaurant and M&M Modern Sewer.
Parking will be available at Shaw Park North and Shaw Park South adjacent to the Ocho Rios Jerk Centre.
