The death toll from the road crash in St Ann Friday morning, November 18, has risen to three.
Dead are: Walwayne Smith and Prince Waugh of Steer Town St Ann and Hopéton Brown, also of St Ann. Smith died on the scene, Waugh died at hospital Friday afternoon and Brown died Saturday morning.All three are fishermen who were returning from Western Jamaica to their home in St Ann when a Toyota Wish in which they were travelling crashed into a GuardsMan bus going west along the Llandovery Main Road, near the entrance to Mines.The crash took place about 7:30 a.m. when the motorcar apparently drifted into the path of the bus that was carrying at least 15 people. More than 10 people were hospitalized.
