WANT TO BECOME A POLICE OFFICER? JCF recruitment drive continuing soon.

If you want to become a police officer, look out for the continuing recruitment drive by the JCF, coming to a parish near you in the next few weeks.

A release from the CCU shows that on the North Coast, there has already been recruitment in St Mary but the JCF recruitment team will be in the other North Coast parishes later this month and into the start of next month.

The recruitment drive, which kicked off in St. Mary in April, will now make stops in nine other parishes between May 16 and June 6.

 

The timetable is as follows:

Each recruitment day will commence at 7:00 a.m. Male applicants are required to wear long-sleeved shirts with a tie, while females are to be dressed in office attire.

The locations for each recruitment exercise will also be posted on the JCF online platforms—Facebook and the website—closer to the dates.

The requirements are as follows:

  • Age 18-40 (Persons over 30 must be from one of the following professions : Military, Education, Finance/Banking, Scientific, Technical or Legal).
  • Four CXC subjects -English and Mathematics (Substitute for Mathematics – Accounts, Physics, Chemistry), and any other two
  • Minimum Height for females is 5 feet 3 inches and males 5 feet 5 inches, while the minimum weight is 120 pounds for females and 130 pounds for males.
  • Four passport sized photographs in official attire (certified by a Justice of the Peace, Minister of Religion, Resident Magistrate or Police at the rank of Inspector or above.)
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Valid photo Identification (Driver’s License, Passport, Voter’s ID)
  • National Insurance Scheme Number (NIS).
  • Tax Registration Number (TRN).
