There were sentiments aplenty at the monthly meeting of the St Ann Parish Council on Thursday, April 14.
The Council observed four years of life since it was elected as Mayor Desmond Gilmore pointed out that it was in April that they first sat after the March 2012 Elections.
Local Government elections are past due by more than a year after they were postponed by the last PNP administration. No date has been set for the next elections that are widely expected this year.
The Council also recorded the death of Theos Blake, parish manager for the NWA and who was murdered in St Thomas. Also it recorded the death of councillor Barton Oliver, former deputy mayor of the St Mary Parish Council. In expressing condolences and deepest regret, the chairman of the Council Desmond Gilmore asked the council meeting for a minute’s silence.
