FOUND DEAD HOURS AFTER LEAVING ‘DEADYARD’

ST Mary Police Investigating 62-Year-Old Man’s Death

ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary; August 29, 2026

The St. Mary Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 62-year-old man who was found in a ditch Saturday morning, August 29, 2026, after he left an overnight gathering.

Dead is Harold Wilson of School Lane, Enfield, St. Mary.

Reports are that Wilson attended a “dead yard” in the community and was last seen leaving the location at approximately 5:00 a.m.

About 8:20 a.m., a resident discovered Wilson lying unresponsive in a ditch beneath a footpath bridge leading towards his home.

An alarm was raised, and the police were contacted. Wilson was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Port Mara police, preliminary investigations have not established the circumstances that led to his death. Investigators are continuing their enquiries, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to assist in determining the cause of death.

The St. Mary Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr. Wilson after he left the gathering or who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact the nearest police station.
