NCB ST ANN’S BAY BRANCH RESTORED AS FULL-SERVICE CENTRE

BANK SHOWS OFF FINANCIAL CENTRE, COMMITS TO SERVICE

ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann; March 18, 2025

Leaders from business, politics and civil society were part of a ceremony restoring full service at the St Ann’s Bay branch of National Commercial Bank (NCB), Monday evening, March 17, 2025.

The branch’s return to full service after significant transformation now makes it considered NCB’s St Ann financial centre.

The celebratory function was addressed by top officials of NCB, including Chairman Michael Lee-Chin.

The branch has had a physical makeover, including with a designated area for business banking.

NCB said the St Ann’s Bay branch was upgraded and improved customer experience assured in response to requests from customers.

 

Chairman Michael Lee-Chin, who spoke about his own financial journey and the time when he bought the bank, said he was committed to giving back because of what Jamaica had done for him.  He said customers were at the centre of the bank’s business and had to be respected.

CEO of NCB Bruce Bowen also spoke of his mission to improve facilities for customers and in this regard spoke about high level of performance of NCB 300-strong ATM network and the desire to provide services to help Jamaicans improve their wealth.

Also speaking was vice president of Retail Banking at NCB Perrin Gayle. He said he had identified as his goals for NCB restoring the human touch in banking, getting staff to being brilliant at the basics and listening to customers and staff.

Among those in attendance were Custos of St Ann Joey Issa, retired custodes Norman Walters and R.O. Walters; Mayor of St Ann’s Bay, Michael Belnavis; and PNP Constituency Caretaker for St Ann North East, Dr Ryan Simpson.

The event which included items of entertainment was chaired by Kevin Ingram, head of Sales at NCB.

Service Quality Manager for the Financial Centre, Beth Garvey led a tour of the facilities of the financial centre.

Accompanied by senior executives of the bank and local dignitaries, Mr Lee Chin cut the ribbon to signify the formal opening of the financial centre.
