GUN FOUND AT PINEAPPLE PLANT

A 36-year-old man from Zion Hill Crossroads, Richmond, St. Mary, has been arrested on suspicion of several offenses following a shooting incident on Wednesday night, January 8, 2025, at a bar in the community.
Reports to the North Coast time are that about 10:25 p.m., the suspect and a construction worker from Orange River, Richmond, were involved in an argument. During the altercation, the suspect reportedly left and later returned with a firearm, discharging two rounds in the other man’s direction.
The intended target escaped unharmed and reported the matter to the police.

The suspect later turned himself in, and during a subsequent operation at his residence, law enforcement officers recovered a 9mm Taurus G2C firearm with a magazine containing two rounds and one additional cartridge in the chamber. The firearm was found wrapped in cloth inside a transparent zip lock bag at the base of a pineapple plant on the property.
The scene of the shooting was processed, and a spent 9mm casing was recovered. Investigations are ongoing.
