Shaniece Burris is the top graduate of the Class of 2024 at Brown’s Town Community College, St Ann. She had the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.92 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in nursing, with First Class Honours.

In a story posted on the North Coast Times website last week, the person with the highest GPA was incorrectly identified. The article has since been corrected to name Ms Burris as having the top GPA of 3.92, not only in the Nursing Programme but also for the graduating class.
DOZENS GRADUATE FROM BROWN’S TOWN COMM COLLEGE
In a note to the North Coast Times and its readers, the BTCC said:
“Brown’s Town Community College wishes to issue a correction regarding an article published in the North Coast Times about the 2024 graduating class. The article stated that Tianna Morrison, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme graduate, achieved the highest GPA of 3.92.
Upon review, we confirm that the highest GPA was, in fact, earned by Shaniece Burris, who graduated with an impressive GPA of 3.92.
We sincerely apologize for the oversight and congratulate Miss Burris on her outstanding academic achievement. We also extend our congratulations to Miss Morrison and all our graduates for their hard work and success.
Thank you for your understanding, and we remain committed to accurately highlighting the accomplishments of our students.”
The graduation ceremony was held in November with dozens of students receiving their degrees and certificates.
