FARMER SHOT DEAD IN ST MARY
A 28-year-old farmer was shot and killed while playing a game of dominoes with friends on Saturday night, July 20, 2024.
Dead is Akeem Rowe of Fort Stewart, Enfield, St Mary.
Police reports are that Rowe was at a bar in Broad Villa, Enfield, St Mary. He and a group of men were playing a game of dominoes about 9:30 p.m.
A man walked up to the group, brandished a gun, and opened fire hitting Rowe multiple times over his body
The gunman fled the scene on foot.
No one else was injured.
Rowe was taken to the Annotto Bay hospital where he was pronounced dead. The scene was processed and eight nine mm spent casings and one expended bullet were found.
A motive for the killing has not been established.
The Port Maria CIB is investigating.
