HELD IN KINGSTON
A Portland man has been fined $450,000 or is to serve nine months in prison for cocaine charges after the drug was found in a car he was driving in Kingston.
He is 47-year-old Mark Spencer, a carpenter of Newland district, Windsor Castle.
Spencer pleaded guilty to breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act and was fined J$450,000 or nine months in prison at hard labour when he appeared before the Corporate Area Parish Court on Friday, January 5.

The allegations were that on April 23, 2021, 0.2 kilograms of cocaine was found in his possession after lawmen searched a
Toyota Succeed motorcar Spencer was driving. The find was made during an operation by the Narcotics Police on Mountain View Avenue, Kingston.
He was fined J$1,500 or 3 months imprisonment for possession of cocaine, and J$300,000 or 6 months imprisonment for dealing in cocaine.
