A 75-year-old man from St Mary is believed to have committed suicide at his home, Friday, September 13, 2024
He is Rupert Brown of Islington in the parish.
Brown had recently been discharged from hospital after a brief illness. The nature of his illness was not known.
Reports are that Brown’s caregiver went to his one-room board house in Islington Friday morning and found him hanging from a rope tied to the ceiling.
