An elderly man was killed in Annotto Bay, St Mary at the weekend following an altercation with another man over money.
Dead is 75-year-old Robert Tyrell, farmer of Grays Inn, St Mary. One man has been taken into custody in connection with Tyrell’s death.
Police reports are that about 6 p.m. Saturday, October 6, a man visited Tyrell allegedly to collect money owed to him. He and Tyrell got into an argument that escalated into a fight.
Tyrell fell and hit his head, resulting in injuries. He was taken to hospital and died while undergoing treatment.
The man was taken into custody by the Annotto Bay police who are investigating.
