65-Y-O WOMAN DIES IN ST MARY CRASH

An elderly woman succumbed to injuries she received in a fatal collision along the Wilderness main road in St Mary on Friday, October 28.

The woman has been identified as 65-year-old Beverly Davis of Bariffe Hall district in the parish.   She was the driver of a car that was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

Reports from the Port Maria police are that about 1:30 p.m., Davis was driving a Toyota Mark II motorcar in an easterly direction. A Toyota Station Wagon was behind her.

Upon reaching a section of the roadway, Davis allegedly attempted to make a right turn when the Station Wagon collided with her vehicle.

The police were summoned and she was taken to hospital, where she died while being treated.

The driver and two passengers of the Station Wagon, who received injuries, were also hospitalized.

However, their condition is not considered serious.
