THROAT SLASHED, STAB WOUNDS TO CHEST

A 59-year-old teacher was found dead, with her throat slashed, at her home in Post Road, Pear Tree Grove, St Mary on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025.
Dead is Angella Hamilton, a teacher of Pear Tree Grove Primary and Infant School.
Police reports are that Ms Hamilton who lived alone, was last seen leaving work on Friday, January 10, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Concerns were raised when attempts to contact her on Saturday afternoon went unanswered.
A friend visited the residence at approximately 3:05 p.m. Sunday and discovered the door to the living room open. The teacher’s lifeless body was found in the dining room.
Police said her throat was slashed and there were stab wounds to her chest.
The police are reassuring the public that they are committed to conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring the safety of the community. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
