The five men from St Ann arrested just before Christmas in connection with a gun find in Kingston have been charged.
The five, for from Steer Town in the parish have been charged with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and trafficking prohibited weapon.
Charged are: • Jahmala Vernon, otherwise called ‘Bobby’ or ‘Andrew Blacks’, 24-years-old lifeguard of Blue Hole in St. Ann and four others all from Steer Town in the parish. They are:
• Roye Stubs, otherwise called ‘Dex’, 30-years-old, labourer
• Rojay Case, otherwise called ‘Chubby’, 26-years-old
• Jason Denbor, otherwise called ‘Travis’, 25-years-old labourer
• Alex McBean 20-years-old labourer
Reports are that about 2:35 a.m., on Thursday, December 22, the police were on patrol on Spanish Town Road, Kingston when the driver of a Toyota Mark X motor car was signaled to stop. He complied and the vehicle was inspected and one Glock 9mm pistol with a magazine affixed containing six 9mm rounds was found. The five occupants were arrested and subsequently charged. Their court dates are being finalized. –
