MAN WHO CHOPPED ANOTHER BEATEN, BATTERED TO DEATH

Three men in Portland have been charged with murder following what appeared to be a revenge attack that led to the death of a 28-year-old man from Buff Bay.
Dead is Michael Scoughbourgh a construction, worker of Diamond Ridge, Buff Bay, Portland.
Charged are 44-year-old Mawee Rennis otherwise called ‘Weewong’ a farmer; 23-year-old Ashley Brown a student, and 21-year-old Jamai Moore a farmer all of West Norman, Buff Bay.
Reports from the police are that at about 1:00 p.m., on Friday, January 31, Scoughbourgh and a man got into an altercation on Nelson Street Buff Bay. Scoughbourgh left and returned with a machete which he used to inflict a wound to the man’s hand. The man was transported to the police station and reported the incident.
While the man was at the station making his report, his family members attacked Scoughbourgh. Police say Rennis used a baseball bat while Brown and Moore used stones to inflict injuries all over Scoughbourgh’s body. He was assisted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police were alerted and all three men were accosted and taken into custody.
