OCCUPANTS IN ONE CAR WERE COMING FROM A WAKE

The police have identified the three men killed in an early morning traffic crash in St Mary, Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Dead are:
*54 -year-old Johnnie Walker of Dean Pen district, St. Mary
* 22-year-old Daviere Anderson of Frazer Hill, Highgate, St. Mary and
* 42-year-old Donovan Bell otherwise known as ‘Brown Man,’ a labourer of Top Albany, Islington also in St. Mary.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that occupants of one of the vehicles were returning from a wake.
Reports from the Port Maria Police are that at about 2:40 a.m., a Honda Stream and a Toyota Corolla were traveling in opposite directions along the Heywood Hall main road, near White Hall. The driver of the Honda Stream, Johnnie Walker lost control of the vehicle. It collided head-on with the Toyota Corolla.
Citizens summoned the police. On their arrival, the injured victims were assisted to hospital, where the three men succumbed to their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
