The weekend was a bloody one on the roadways in St Ann and St Mary. Three persons were killed in two crashes, while a motorcyclist has been treated following a collision with a car on Saturday.
Dead are: 42-year-old Devon Purser and 44-year-old Donna Brown, both of Grants Town, St. Mary. They died in a horrific motorcycle crash in Port Maria on Saturday morning, July 22 and 57-year-old Clive McKenzie of Roaring River, Steer Town in St Ann, who died in a motor vehicle crash in Ocho Rios on Sunday.
THEY LEFT PARTY
Eyewitnesses have said that it was a horrific scene of blood after Purser and Brown left a party on a motorcycle. Both were said to have had a relationship. In a release from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), they state that “reports are that about 1:50 a.m., the police were summoned to a collision at the mentioned location. It is alleged that Purser was driving a motorcycle, when on reaching a section of the roadway lost control and crashed into a wall. Brown who was the pillion died on the scene, while Purser later succumbed to his injuries.”Some said that there was no way that Brown would have survived as she suffered several devastating injuries.

CYLIST INJURED
A motorcyclist was treated and released from hospital following a crash in Discovery Bay, St Ann. Reports are that a motorcycle collided into a motor car, near the turn off to the Lakeside community.The cyclist, who is from Kingston, was taken to hospital by police officers.In the meantime, the driver of the motor car involved in that crash has given a statement to the police.
