3 killed by carbon monoxide (Updated story)

The woman and her two children killed by fumes from a generator died in separate rooms of their house in Three Hills, St Mary.

Police have identified them as 37-year-old Charla Thompson-Young and her two children, 12-year-old Brandon Young and four-year-old Leslie Ann Young, all of Three Hills in St. Mary.
Dozens of people from the community near the Three Hills Square gathered outside the three-bedroom house this morning (Thurs, Feb 4) as police went through the house to determine what happened.
Police officers on the scene told The North Coast Times that when they arrived slightly after 8 a.m. the fumes were so strong they could not enter the house.
The generator inside the house had been switched on sometime after 6:30 following power outage in the area. The family apparently went to sleep afterwards and were killed by the gas — carbon monoxide – given off by the generator. Their bodies were discovered about 7 o’clock this morning.
