4 PEOPLE ARRESTED
The St. Ann Police seized three firearms and arrested four people in an early morning operation in Ocho Rios, in the parish, on Monday, November 24.
They also seized about 120 rounds of ammunition.
According to the police, they carried out an intelligence-led operation at two premises in Parry Town, Ocho Rios, about 5:30 a.m. Monday.
A Springfield .45 pistol, along with a magazine and thirty-three rounds of .45 ammunition, and a Gamo Swarm Maxim G2 air rifle were seized at the first location.

A search of the second address yielded a Stoeger 9mm semi-automatic pistol affixed with a magazine and eighty-seven 9mm rounds.

Four people, including a female, were taken into custody following the seizures. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
A release from the police said: “The removal of three firearms represents a significant disruption to criminal activity in the parish and increases the safety of residents.”
