Police are recording two murders in a 24-hour period in the rural community of Higgin Town, St Ann .
A woman’s body was found in her house yesterday (Tuesday) and the body of a man was found this morning (Wednesday), Dec. 28, also in the community, about 15 kilometers from St Ann’s Bay
The man has been identified as 25-year-old Orlando Lewis, a construction worker of Higgin Town in the parish. The woman has not been identified but it is reported she had disabilities.
In the case of Lewis, reports are that at about 7 a.m. Wednesday residents heard loud explosions and summoned the police.
The Lewis’ body was found with several gunshot wounds.
The police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
This is the second murder committed in the community in 24 hours following the discovery of a woman’s body at a house on Tuesday, December 27
