QUIET PARISH RECORDS 2 HOMICIDES IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS

The usually quiet parish of Portland is counting two murders in the space of less than 24 hours.
Dead are an unidentified man believed to be a Haitian national and Oshane Reid, a mechanic of Port Antonio.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that on Sunday evening, February 16, 2025, two Haitian nationals were involved in an altercation at Windsor Forest. Some details are still unclear but it is reported that other members of the community became involved. One of the Haitians was badly beaten all over his body and sustained head injuries.
He died while being treated at hospital just after midnight Sunday.
The second incident occurred about 4:30 Monday afternoon at a garage along Folly Road, Port Antonio.
Oshane Reid who works at the garage was shot and killed.
Details of the incident were still unclear, up to the time of posting.
