2 KILLED IN ST ANN CRASH IDENTIFIED

BUS DRIVER TRIED TO AVOID HEAD-ON CRASH WITH AN OVERTAKING RAV 4

DISCOVERY BAY, St Ann; Dec 11, 2025

Police have identified the two people killed in a traffic crash along the Queen’s Highway, near Discovery Bay, St Ann, on Thursday morning, December 11, 2025.

Both were occupants of a Toyota Rav 4. They are the driver, 35-year-old Dale Robert Williams, and 30-year-old Sashalee Williams, both of Spicy Hill Duncans, Trelawny. The North Coast Times is continuing to check details about the names of the couple, as they were not married but were partners, reports say. 

The driver and passengers of the Toyota Hiace, owned by Medimpex Jamaica, received several injuries.

The police report that, from information received and observation made, both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions, with the black Toyota Rav 4 heading easterly towards Discovery Bay and the  White Toyota Hiace towards Trelawny.

The driver of the Rav 4 was overtaking a line of traffic, failed to keep left, and ended up in the path of the Toyota Hiace. The bus driver reportedly swung further left to try to avoid a head-on collision, but the Rav 4 slammed into the vehicle.

As a result of the collision, both vehicles came to rest on the near side soft shoulder, next to the west-bound lane, on the Queen’s Highway Section of the North Coast Highway.

The Fire Brigade Ambulance Service assisted in getting the victims from the vehicles, which were both extensively damaged.

The occupants were transported to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital by a JDF service vehicl,e which was passing at the time of the collision. All the occupants of the Toyota Hiace received injuries.

Both occupants of the Toyota RAV4 died at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
