Details about the continuing investigations into the Lime Hall fire and disappearance of four people from a farm, November 13, were provided at a press conference at Area 2 headquarters in Tower Isle, St. Mary this morning (January 7).
Two people were shot around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 in Lime Hall in what is now considered a related incident.
Reports are that David Hudson, 30, was at home when he was pounced upon by gunmen who open fire killing him. Another person at the home was shot in the head and wounded. He has since died in hospital. He has been identified as Damion Campbell, otherwise known as ‘Iron Man’.
Campbell was one of the last men picked up by the police in connection with the disappearance of four people from Lime Hall who are nopw preseumed dead.
Police said they had not been able to get any information from Campbell who was released.
The man in custody for the two murders has been identified as Roshad Moss o/c Shot. According to superintendent Cameron, Moss is believed to be the leader of the Lime Hall gang. Moss was also taken into custody in relation to the four missing Lime Hall persons, but was released.
Police say they now believe Hudson was involved in transporting pimento stolen from the farm from which the four disappeared.
Missing since the early morning of Saturday, November 14 are: fifty-seven-year-old Joseph Lynch, his nephew 43-year-old Lascelles Lynch, 50-year-old Ruth Lawrence, and her niece, seven-year-old Rimeka Haynes. Superintendent Cameron stated that the case “still remains a mystery” and the police have not been able to locate their bodies.
Moss is facing a charge of accessory to murder in another Lime Hall murder; that is the murder of Maurice Cox Jnr.
Moss is expected to be charged with these Lime Hall murders soon. He had turned himself into custody yesterday evening.
Meantime investigations are ongoing into the murder of another man in St. Ann on Tuesday, January 5.
Just over an hour following the Lime Hall shootings, there was another murder, that of twenty-year-old Mario Hall of Pimento Walk, outside of Ocho Rios. He was shot multiple times, after gunmen entered his home and opened fire hitting him while he was sleeping.
