2 GUN MURDERS IN ST ANN

MAN EXECUTED IN BAR; OTHER SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES ON LANE

RUNAWAY BAY, St Ann; July 29, 2025

St Ann police are busy investigating two murders in the parish, one in Ocho Rios and the other in Runaway Bay, between Sunday night and early Tuesday morning, July 27 and 29, 2025.

Dead are 21-year-old Deandreu Aarons, also called Bigga, unemployed of Corn Piece Street, Exchange, Ocho Rios, and 26-year-old Renarko Campbell, also called Okie, a construction worker of Royal Palm, Runaway Bay, St. Ann

In the first incident, Aarons was at a bar having drinks when a man carrying a gun and wearing a mask walked up to him and shot him, killing him at the scene.

Several units from Area 2 and St Ann police went to the scene and are investigating.

Then just after midnight on Monday, Renarko Campbell was walking along Short Lane, Mr Edgecombe, Runaway Bay, when a white Toyota Corolla Axio motor car approached and men alighted and opened gunfire at him.

Campbell ran and was pursued by men firing at him several times.

Police say he was hit several times and fell along the lane between a Toyota Probox motor car and a wall. He was found in a pool of blood on his back.

The Area Two TSD retrieved nineteen (19) spent casings, one (1) expended bullet, six (6) damaged bullets, and two (2) paper cigars.
