2 CHILDREN SLAIN IN MONEAGUE

COMMUNITY IN SHOCK AFTER BODIES OF 1-Y-O AND 3-Y-O   FOUND

MONEAGUE, St Ann; Aug. 27, 2025

The community of Moneague is in shock and mourning following the discovery of the bodies of two children on Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025.

The children, ages one and three years, were reported missing on Tuesday evening. That led to a search including members of the JCF, soldiers from the Moneague location, and area residents.

One of the bodies was found in the back of a yard and another near an old boat in the community near the Moneague Lake.

The father of the two children was taken into custody at the Moneague Police station. He is reported to be the main suspect in the killing. The children’s mother was also at the station at midday, but North Coast Times was told that she is not a suspect.

Police are still trying to determine what happened.
