MISSING

Two Trelawny men have been charged for the murder of a St Mary man who had gone missing for weeks before his body was found buried on a farm in Lowe River, Trelawny.

Charged are: 22-year-old Abejay Powell, otherwise called ‘Terron’, and 28-year-old Oniel Demetrius both of Lowe River, Trelawny.

They are charged with the murder of  Otis Patrick otherwise called ‘Roonie’, of Albion Mountain, St. Mary. Police believe Patrick was killed Saturday, March 25, sometime after he had gone missing. An official missing persons report was not made until early April.

Patrick’s decomposing body was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was removed from a shallow grave at the back of a house in Lowe River, Trelawny on Tuesday evening, May 30.

Powell and Demitrius are scheduled to appear before the Falmouth Parish Court on Thursday, June 15.
