11-Y-O is Mini Miss Portland Heritage Queen

Eleven-year-old Titchfield High School student Shayde Anderson won the first Mini Miss Portland Heritage Queen competition at the coronation in Port Antonio on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

The event held in the Port Antonio High School Auditorium celebrated the talent and cultural knowledge of Portland’s young girls.

The competition was organized by the Director of the Mini Miss Portland Heritage Queen franchise, Natasha Harriott-Ford. The competition that is expected to ultimately become a national contest is under the auspices of Double D’s Promotion, led by CEO and founder Damion Duckett.

The theme was “Raising young leaders through cultural identity and grace.” Shayde impressed judges and audience alike with her confidence, eloquence, and deep appreciation for her Jamaican heritage.

Coming in as first runner-up was seven-year-old Rhianna Ford, of Bloomfield Primary School, whose charm and stage presence won many hearts. The second runner-up title was awarded to Tiara Gordon, representing Shirley Castle Primary and Infant School. She showcased poise beyond her years.

The event featured several special guests, including Raquel Chin, Ms Universe Jamaica 1st runners up /Model/Pageant Management Child and Mental Health Advocate [ head judge]; Chevelle Foskin CEO of Mr. & Miss Manza community pageant Child Advocate; Orion Gayle CEO of Training with Orion Model Child and Mental Health Advocate who judged the show.
